"YELL / Joyful" is ikimono-gakari's fifteenth single. "YELL" was a choral song for NHK's 76th Annual School Music Contest in the junior high level, while "Joyful" was Ezaki Glico's "Chocolate Pocky" CM song. The single reached #2 on the Oricon weekly chart. As it sold 94,751 copies in 2009, it was the 66th best-selling single of that year. The first press came with either "ikimono card 014" or "ikimono card 015".
